Night Drop: ShakeUp
While Branch & Night Drop were at their peak , quickly rising to a top 3 destination in Cincinnati, a small pandemic was creeping its way around the globe. Soon, like many businesses, we had to make a very hard pivot and figure out how to keep the lights on for the foreseeable future. The problem? We could only do this with a cook, and a single server. 3 people to save the world. The solution? Turn the parking lot into a sort of Drive-In theater, allow seating for social distancing and try to bring a bit of joy to a desperate time. Every choice was to lean on happier days in our past. We picked films from our childhoods, outrageous milkshakes and homemade novelty ice cream desserts, signature drinks and meals pre-packaged for takeout. Whatever we could not just to keep us sane, but our neighborhood as well. We each had 30 jobs to do. Every day we scratched and clawed. There was no crying in the walk-in. There was crying right on the floor. Bills got paid, and Branch lived on if not for at least a little while longer.
