sju.edu
Shortest URL I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on
Back in early 2003, people were still trying to get over the pain that was the Dot Com. The fallout was extensive, and it seems to have resulted in amnesia and in this day and age we have swapped out “Dot Com” for “Venture Startup”. But that’s another post entirely. Many of the early sites I had worked on by schools were very timid attempts to get their information online. There was very little money (translation: time) that we were able to leverage, so often these sites were slightly more interactive versions of a schools academic catalog.
The SJU site was no different. Using some moderate Flash animations integrating some of the brand imagery and messaging, we were able to create a hybrid site using fancy HTML technology (frames) to manage a vastly content-driven site.
